PBI files final reporth in Salman Shah death case

Police Bureau of Investigation  PBI  on Tuesday filed its final report into the investigation in a case lodged  over the dealt of film star Salman Shah.

(PBI) Inspector Sirajul Islam submitted the 600-page report to dispatch wing of Dhaka  Metropolitan Magistrate Court, dispatch wing in-charge sub-inspector Abul Hasan Bhuiyan told BSS.

Earlier on Monday PBI chief Banaz Kumar Majumder drew a conclusion on the death suit which remained pending for last 24 years, saying Salman indeed committed suicide over family feud.




The (PBI) interrogated a total of (44) people and testimonies of (10) people had been recorded under section (164) of the penal code,the police official said.

Salman Shah died on (6) September (1996) at the age of 25. Following the death,his father kamaruddin Ahmed Chowdhury filed an unnatural death (UD) case.


He had later pleaded to turn the ud case into a murder case.
