Khaled Zia will be released soon: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has said that BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will be released soon. He said this at a press conference at the Secretariat at around 1:30 pm on Wednesday. The government on Tuesday announced the decision to release Khaleda Zia's sentence for six months. Law Minister Anisul Haque made the news briefing at his residence yesterday. The recommendation has been sent from the Law Ministry to the home Ministry, the law minister said. Khaleda Zia has to fulfill a number of  conditions even after being released, the law minister said yesterday.
We have decided in the legal process, under the direction of the Honorable prime Minister, that under section 401 of  the Criminal Procedure Act, Khaleda Zia was suspended for six months on condition of receiving her medical treatment from her home in Dhaka.
At this time, I have given an opinion for release on the condition of not moving out of the country.
Speaking at a press conferene at the secretariat today, the Home Minister said the decision had been taken to release Khaleda Zia on humanitarian grounds.
He will be in custody of his younger brother. Why would he do politics at this time?
Dhaka Central Jail sources said Khaleda Zia's release order reached IG Prison.
From there it will go to the Dhaka Central Jail Jail Super. The jail superintendent will take that order to Bangladeshu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
